Ebenezer Church is a Christ-centered church plant in Toronto, born from a desire to live out the gospel with depth, offer spiritual support, and build meaningful community.
Our name Ebenezer comes from 1 Samuel 7:12 and means “Rock of Help” or “Thus far the Lord has helped us.” It reminds us that God is our firm foundation—the One who sustains, strengthens, and leads us.
We exist to live a genuine faith, build strong relationships, teach the Word faithfully, and serve our city with love and purpose. We believe that a life rooted in Christ can transform families, communities, and generations.
Our Story
Thirty years of faith, service, and renewal in Christ.
The story of Ebenezer Church began over 30 years ago, when Pastors Benjamin and Terezinha were called by God to plant a church committed to preaching the gospel and caring for people. The first services were held in the city of Oakview, in a humble space filled with faith and purpose.
As the church grew, it relocated to Mississauga, where it continued to be a spiritual home and place of support for many families. Under the faithful and loving leadership of its founding pastors, the church lived out its mission of being a true “rock of help” for those seeking God sincerely.
Years later, the Lord led Pastors Benjamin and Terezinha to Ottawa, where they continue to serve passionately—preaching the gospel and shepherding new communities with the same faith and dedication.
In Toronto, a new chapter began through small group gatherings, supported and guided by Pastor Clovis Ricardo and his wife Sthefani. What started as a small gathering soon grew into a new church planting phase of Ebenezer Church, grounded in prayer, care, and mission.
Today, we joyfully celebrate this new season in a dedicated worship space, with weekly services, growing ministries, and open hearts ready to welcome all who seek to walk firmly upon the Rock—Christ Jesus.
From Oakview to Mississauga, from Ottawa to Toronto, we declare: “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
